Hey there! My name is Maya -- I'm the creator of these holiday recipes (along with other 1,000+ dishes on Wholesome Yum!).

I have been living a gluten-free, whole food lifestyle for over 10 years, but the first few were tough... especially around the holidays! I assumed nobody would like what I cooked, so I didn't make an effort to stay on track during family gatherings and holiday meals. One "off" day could lead to an off week or off month... not good with New Year's resolutions around the corner.

So, I decided to make healthy versions of the holiday foods I loved, and something crazy happened… everybody loved them. I learned that you don’t have to give into “cheat” days or make two different versions of the same holiday meal just to stay on track!

Some recipes in this cookbook are naturally low in carbs, but they are not tailored to low carb macros. You will find some higher-carb foods in this cookbook, such as starchy vegetables and fruits with naturally higher sugar levels. If you want lower carb holiday recipes, though, try the Low Carb Holiday Cookbook instead!
