Happy (belated) October, friends! I have to confess, this month totally snuck up on me, but I’ll get to why in a bit. Are you enjoying the autumn weather yet?
It seems like just yesterday I was still in Europe, enjoying our beautiful vacation stretching throughout the good part of September. The weather was uncharacteristically hot for France and Switzerland, with temperatures feeling more like steamy July than mild September. With a suitcase full of light sweaters and jackets, I ended up rotating through the same handful of lighter tops to handle the sun’s strong rays.
My head is still filled with memories of wandering the charming streets of Provence, the boardwalks along the water in Swiss cities, and of course, the curving trails of the spectacular Swiss Alps. Our good friends met us there halfway through our trip, making it that much more beautiful and memorable. Nothing like sharing an amazing vacation with amazing friends. And yet, all those wonderful reminiscences are all dotted with recollections of the constant, constant pressing heat. Not that I’m complaining. I’ll take that over constant rain, or worse, being stuck at home – any day.
We’ve actually been back for a couple of weeks, but you may have noticed that the blog posts have been rather sparse. Like I said, this month snuck up on me seemingly out of nowhere.
There’s actually a good reason for that. I’ve been crazy busy, and I’m absolutely dying to tell you why… but not quite yet. Yes, I have some news that I’m excited to share with you in a couple of weeks. I debated saying nothing until I could share, but I’m just too excited not to at least leave a hint that something is happening. Until then, you’ll have to sit there in suspense.
