Thank you to SweetLeaf Stevia for sponsoring this post. All opinions are my own.
If there’s one requirement for great brownies, it’s that they have to be extra dense and fudgy. That’s my opinion, anyway. If you want cake brownies, you might as well have chocolate cake. Not that there’s anything wrong with chocolate cake, but I’ll definitely take fudgy keto brownies over cake any day.
I actually already have a low carb brownies recipe on the blog, which is made with almond butter. That one is still among my favorites, but now there’s another contender.
These low carb keto brownies are actually even more fudgy. The key to is a generous amount of fat, which works well in a keto brownies recipe. To make that happen, this time I opted for using butter, like traditional brownies, and sugar-free chocolate in addition to cocoa powder. They are sweetened with vanilla stevia, which I’ve come to love.
Truth be told, I wasn’t always a stevia fan. I don’t recall the first brand I tried, but it had an aftertaste that put me off the sweetener. This was a mistake. It turned out that I wasn’t using the right stuff. I just didn’t know it at the time. Later, I read that younger stevia leaves produce a better tasting sweetener.
When I heard about the different flavors of SweetLeaf Sweet Drops Liquid Stevia, I was intrigued. Enough so, that I decided to give stevia another try. And, I’m so glad I did.
Once I tried them, I was completely hooked. They tasted so much better than any other stevia product I’ve ever tried. The flavors were fantastic, and the actual stevia taste and sweetness were just what I wanted.
More recently, I was beyond excited when I received an opportunity to work with SweetLeaf on a keto brownies recipe.
By this point, I was already using the Sweet Drops liquid stevia daily in my coffee and for other random kitchen experiments. Creating blog recipes with it was the next logical step. What better way to do it than with some fudgy low carb brownies?!
I spent a lot of time getting this gluten-free keto brownies recipe just right. Getting the perfect fudgy texture was important! After five different versions, I’m happy to say that these are the fudgiest fudge brownies I’ve ever had. I hope you’ll agree!
So, are you ready to try these keto brownies? Maybe with some low carb ice cream? 😉
