I actually had a recipe for one version (using a powdered sweetener) in my first cookbook, but if I’m being honest, this 2-minute keto honey mustard I created just recently tastes so much better. This has become literally my #1 favorite condiment that I keep in my fridge at all times — and when I run out, I can whisk it together almost instantly on a whim. Why You Need My Sugar Free Honey Mustard

- Sweet and ultra creamy, with real honey flavor – It sounds too good to be true, but it’s real! My sugar free honey mustard tastes exactly like the kind made with regular honey. I’ll be making it forever and ever. Whether you’re low carb or just reducing sugar like I am these days, you will too once you try it!
- Super fast and easy – While I adore homemade sauces, I usually have to plan for them, but not this one! It takes just 2 minutes with only 5 ingredients.
- Natural and keto friendly – Store-bought versions often contain artificial preservatives and fillers, or worse, sometimes even corn syrup. Then there are other recipes that use regular honey, which is “fine” but still very high in sugar. And while it can fit into some people’s macros, I don’t love that sugar spike and much prefer this keto honey mustard with natural ingredients (even when I’m not following the lifestyle fully).
- Awesome on (or in) anything – Some sugar free recipes don’t actually work in certain ways, but you can enjoy my sugar free honey mustard in all the same ways as the regular kind — from dipping to salad dressing to adding it to other recipes.


Ingredients & Substitutions
Here I explain the best ingredients for my keto honey mustard recipe, what each one does, and substitution options. For measurements, see the recipe card below.
- Mayonnaise – The creamy base! I like my homemade mayonnaise for this, but any brand you like works.
- Wholesome Yum Zero Sugar Honey – To make honey mustard without any sugar from honey, you have to have sugar-free honey… and my natural Wholesome Yum Keto Honey is the only one I use for this recipe! It has all the sweet flavor and thick, gooey, sticky texture of real honey, with 0g net carbs. Sorry (not sorry? 😉), there really is no substitute! Other low carb sweetener options (such as Besti, Swerve, monk fruit, stevia, etc.) will not taste the same or give you that honey flavor.
- Dijon Mustard – I prefer this over yellow mustard because it makes for a better flavor, but you can use yellow if you want.
- Apple Cider Vinegar – The acidity balances out the sweetness.You can also use lemon juice.
- Cayenne Pepper – My recipe uses a very small amount and it’s not spicy, but you can leave it out if you prefer. You can also add other spices, like garlic powder or onion powder.

Ways To Use It
I mean it when I say I use this sugar free honey mustard on everything! Here are some amazing ways you can enjoy it:
- Chicken – I love it as a dip for my keto chicken nuggets, low carb chicken tenders (in my picture above), or even bacon wrapped chicken tenders. I also use a variation on this sauce to make honey mustard chicken.
- Fries – Dunk your jicama fries, rutabaga fries, or zucchini fries in this keto honey mustard sauce for something unique and different.
- Salad – Yes, it can double as a sugar free honey mustard dressing, too! It’s perfect for my chef salad or Cobb salad.
- Sandwiches – Slather it on your favorite bread with deli meats, lettuce, and tomatoes. You can also use it on my veggie-forward options, like a bell pepper sandwich or cucumber subs. I like it on juicy burgers, too!
- Proteins – Brush it onto grilled salmon or air fryer pork chops, or use it as a dip for coconut shrimp or keto pigs in a blanket.

- Storage: Store your sugar free honey mustard sauce covered in the fridge for up to 2 weeks. I like to keep it in a glass jar. I don’t recommend freezing it, since mayo is one of the main ingredients and it will separate.

Yes those are fireworks because this sugar free keto honey mustard needs to be celebrated! ??If this doesnt bring whatever you are eating to the next level then just get out of the kitchen and hire yourself a chef. I only tasted it on my finger but rapidly brought the wisk to my mouth for a good lick. I will never miss store bought after trying this savory, sweet with a kick sauce again.
